In the north-east of the parish, on the site of a former mission church dedicated to St Barnabas the Apostle, our parish hall s a modern building owned by St James’s Parish and made available for the community for long-term lets.

Facilities

  • Kitchen with cooker, refrigerator and a serving hatch into the Hall

  • Toilets, including one with access for those with disabilities

  • Parking for 10 cars and plenty of unrestricted street parking

  • The entrance provides full disabled and pushchair access

  • Available for hire until 11pm Monday to Saturday and 7pm Sunday

  • Capacity: 80 seated and 100 standing

Suitable for most children’s and adults’ clubs and groups: community groups, dance groups, Keep Fit, martial arts, meetings, etc. St Barnabas Hall has a No Smoking Policy. Alcohol is allowed, but the Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol or for public entertainment. Current regular users include:

  • Toddlers at St Barnabas

  • Dee School of Dance

  • Rainbows and Brownies

  • Church groups

  • Self-defence, pilates and yoga

Situated adjacent to and immediately north of the church building and built on church land in the 1980s, the Enfield Highway Community Centre is operated and managed as a separate charity, and is available for long-term lets as well as for hiring for one-off events.

There are two spaces for hire:

​

  • a main hall for large events, parties and receptions, with a bar area, hatch to large catering kitchen, a stage,

  • a smaller meeting room, with bar counter.
