Be transformed by the renewing of your minds,
so that you may discern what is the will of God—
what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12.2)
Bible Study
Two Bible study groups every week
(at St James’s Vicarage · 144 Hertford Road)
At St James’s we have two weekly Bible study groups—one on Thursday afternoons, and another on Thursday evenings.
It’s a space and opportunity in which you are free to ask away, to wonder, and to discover the richness of the Bible.
We meet over tea, coffee and biscuits in the vicarage, but it’s possible to join us interactively online via Zoom as well!
At St James’s we explore the Bible in an open and non-directive way. At times we might consult the original language in Scripture (whether Greek or Hebrew), but we largely rely on a number of English translations. So BYOB—Bring Your Own Bible (though we are happy to provide you with one if you can’t!).
Tuesday afternoons · 1pm to 2.30pm
IN THE VICARAGE INTERACTIVE ON ZOOM
Tuesday afternoons we are looking at the Books of Samuel, exploring the Israelite people in their successes and struggles in their relationship with God insisting they they be granted kings to rule over them.
Concludes with prayer.
Available interactively on Zoom.
